PULR Technologies Inc. is incorporated and created to pursue the concept of cable pulling adapters. PULR remains a side hustle until December 31, 2023, ideating, but with increased interest on raising money to run-it as a real start-up after discovering the Heli. Read on.

Helipuller was invented in the summer of 2022 as the ultimate form of cable pulling adapter. It's now used by many telecom adapters. The Helipuller SC-P for pulling 3 mm diameter SC-pushable patch cables for the FTTx market from the NID outdoors to the ONU inside, is the most popular model and is regularly sold to FTTx operators. It is a mature product which is made via Additive Manufacturing, one of the great manufacturing skills that PULR Technologies has mastered to the point of supplying tools additively made in the market which are beloved by end-users and used in the real world every day. This is quite an achievement. But one day, in June 2023, on a Saturday morning, an experiment led to a discovery.

Wanting to avoid a roll of tape on the tail of the Helipuller, Heli was discovered. Then quickly patented. The remainder of 2023 was spent on prototyping Heli's with RAIN RFID having and this is where we discovered RFIDs that blinked LEDs. But Heli being made additively was not adequate to go to market, so we figured out a way to make Heli with injection molding. Spring of 2024 was spent on developing injection molds for Heli NFC and the summer of 2024 spent on miniaturizing Heli down to the most compact NFC cable tag in the world with a two-shot injection mold and a color-code.

What also did not went unnoticed was our foray into digital product passports, citation in the CIRPASS-1 report, our participation in CIRPASS-2, and our market lead as as the first provider of RFID DPP Carriers for cables. We also jointed the NFC Forum to influence the development of the NDPP Specification.

However, while this was going on, Cooldat.ai™ was being developed and experimented in secret without making any noise about it publicly. From our very first day working full time on PULR Technologies Inc. on January 1st 2024 to witness our moonshot project Cooldat instantly created unprecedented levels of market traction.

Our moonshot project and our biggest investment, proved to be what would set the course of the future of PULR Technologies Inc.

In 2024 PULR Technologies Inc. explored multiple paths to market, including Agtech & the ESCO model (with an RFID Spectrometer) to save energy in a Greenhouse, Industrial IOT with Heli and digital product passports.

While all of this was going on, Cooldat was being iterated as our own moonshot and principal investment. A stellar team had been appointed thanks to an NRC IRAP Grant (Jonathan Brière, Jonathan Sénécal). That team worked tirelessly on a SAAS software development effort since the very beginning of 2024. An MVP of the SAAS was then demoed to the most important customer of PULR Technologies Inc, i.e. LabPlas Inc. and then presented to key players in the food industry.

Exciting traction in the market was witnessed from the food industry which was unlike anything witnessed to date in the history of PULR Technologies Inc. As our coach from Quantino said, 'While other products from PULR Technologies were super-vitamins, the Cooldat™ SAAS software is a true pain killing technology for the food industry'. He had reminded us all, that 'Pain Killer' inventions usually have faster traction than vitamins.

A decision had to be made in October 2024, which was to set everything in motion to now focus on Cooldat™ and to assign the cool tech PULR Technologies had brought to market (Helipuller and Heli and the RFID Spectrometer) to technological licensing with other manufacturers.

As of November 1, 2024, PULR Technologies Inc. is now 100% focussed on Cooldat™.
